With a PhD from Yale and over a decade of experience in tech, entertainment, and higher education, Kari McLeod partners with organizations to ignite the talent and connectivity of leaders and teams for greater innovation and results. During her academic career, Kari explored the relationship between communication and change: from how the meaning of a map changed over time and across disciplines to what influenced American understandings of health influences in the mid-20th century. It was her preference for working with people that drew her to facilitation and coaching over research and writing, and she became a team facilitator. It was here that she saw the impact communication had on the productivity of teams during change initiatives. In 2018, Kari launched her business, a change facilitation firm, now known as Pervasive Leadership®. Since then, she has strengthened the communication competence and change leadership fluency of executives, leadership teams and leaders and trained more than 600 team facilitators and Agile coaches. Pervasive Leadership® clients include Fortune 15-200 companies, joint ventures, and privately and employee-owned small and mid-sized companies. Her work with leaders includes supporting them to lead skillfully and compassionately, balancing the need for data, connection, and impact.
